About me
Greetings, dear visitor! My name is Aium (she/they), I'm a 19-year-old part-time programmer from Argentina. I love coding, in particular backend software development.
I'm currently studying computer engineering in college, but I think I'm going to drop out to study Statistics. I feel pressure to conform to the expectations of my family and peers to excel academically and to pursue a successful career in tech. It's a tough road, but I'm determined to find a way to balance my passions with society's expectations.
I used to love video games as a way to escape from reality, but I've come to realize that constantly seeking to escape isn't healthy in the long run. Instead of facing my problems head-on, I would immerse myself in virtual worlds, ignoring my responsibilities and putting off important tasks.
While gaming can be a fun and enjoyable hobby, it's important to recognize the difference between healthy and unhealthy escapism. I'm trying to learn to balance my gaming with other activities to help me grow as a person and face my challenges instead of running away from them.
Remember, no matter what life throws at you, you can always find a way to be strong and make the most of every moment. So keep learning, keep growing, and keep being the amazing person that you are!
